New Tag

Help

Q: What are tags?
A: Tags are a way to add consistent notes to songs.

Q: When should I use tags?
A: Tags should be used for "notes" that can apply to multiple songs or performances. A good tag would be "clawhammer", to apply to all songs that Billy plays on his banjo. A bad tag would be "Streaker ran across stage" - since this has only happened once (thank goodness).

Q: Where should I add a tag?
A: A tag that should apply to everytime a song is played, like "solo, acappella" for "And am I Born to Die" should be added on the songs page. This will automatically add the tag every time that song is added to a setlist.

A tag that only applies to certain performances of a song, like "pay Jarrod Walker's fine" lyric change that happens in some versions of "Little Maggie" should be added to that particular version of the song on each setlist.

Q: How do I add a tag?
A: Click the "Manage tags" button either from the songs page or the song editing option on the edit setlist page. Click on a tag from the "Available" tags to add it to the song. Click on a tag from under the song title to remove it from the song. Click the "New Tag" button if the tag you want to add is not under the Available tags list.

[Verse 1]
Deep down in Louisiana close to New Orleans
Way back up in the woods among the evergreens
There stood a log cabin made of earth and wood
Where lived a country boy named Johnny B. Goode
Who never ever learned to read or write so well
But he could play a guitar just like a ringing a bell

[Chorus]
Go, go
Go Johnny go, go
Go Johnny go, go
Go Johnny go, go
Go Johnny go, go
Johnny B. Goode

[Verse 2]
He used to carry his guitar in a gunny sack
Go sit beneath the tree by the railroad track
Oh, the engineers would see him sitting in the shade
Strumming with the rhythm that the drivers made
People passing by they would stop and say
Oh my, but that little country boy could play

[Chorus]
Go, go
Go Johnny go, go
Go Johnny go, go
Go Johnny go, go
Go Johnny go, go
Johnny B. Goode

[Verse 3]
His mother told him "Someday you will be a man
And you will be the leader of a big old band
Many people coming from miles around
To hear you play your music when the sun go down
Maybe someday your name will be in lights
Saying 'Johnny B. Goode Tonight'"

[Chorus]
Go, go
Go Johnny go
Go go go, Johnny go
Oh go go, Johnny go
Oh go go, Johnny go
Go, Johnny B. Goode
