My brother used to live in Florida, and we’ve always been in Michigan, and I was talking to him on the phone one day, after he and I had both had a few drinks and were several hundred miles away. He said, ‘Man I just wanna come back home’ and my response to that was, ‘Why are you livin’ down there where the palm trees grow and the pine trees don’t?‘
And after I said that to him, he moved back up to Michigan where he belongs, and had my beautiful niece, Jenny. So this is a song kinda inspired by that I guess
